Beroendecentrum Stockholm is Sweden's largest addiction clinic. We offer support and help to individuals with problems related to alcohol, drugs, medications, or gambling. Our services include emergency and inpatient care, outpatient care, and highly specialized treatment. We also conduct university healthcare as well as research and education.

The Workplace

Beroendecentrum Stockholm is the specialized addiction care clinic for Region Stockholm. We have Sweden's broadest range of addiction care. Each year, approximately 24,000 people visit our services. With the right treatment and a holistic view of the individual, we can enhance the quality of life for patients and their relatives.

The Södertälje addiction reception accepts adults with harmful use and dependence on alcohol and drugs. The work is done in collaboration with social services, primary care, and other psychiatric services. The reception is part of the Southern County's outpatient care section, which covers all of southern Stockholm with several other receptions. The reception is located at Södertälje Hospital.

The Work

As a psychologist, you will work closely with the other professionals at the reception. Your work will include psychiatric assessments, neuropsychiatric investigations, and psychological treatment, which takes place both individually and in groups. We document in the TakeCare journal system.

You have an open mind and the ability to meet people where they are without judging or moralizing. The patient group often has complex needs and places high demands on flexibility and responsiveness. Qualifications

Licensed psychologist with experience in psychological treatment and neuropsychiatric investigations. Experience in psychiatry and addiction care is an advantage. Training in trauma-focused treatments is also an advantage.

Employment Conditions

Permanent employment 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday. A probationary period may be used in this recruitment.

The position is filled on the condition that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to current regulations.

For patient-related work within the Stockholm County healthcare area, background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment. Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment. In addition to Swedish professional licensing, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
